Root Down Hummus


A little Root Down can go a long way with this original recipe from the JS kitchen! We put our own spin on a classic hummus recipe with the addition of our beet-based juice for an added dose of nutrients. Read on for this easy-to-make recipe!  

What You'll Need:

1 small roasted beet

  • 15 oz. cooked chickpeas, drained. (if you don't like using canned foods like us, try out this one by Fig Food)
  • 1/4 cup Root Down
  • 1 oz lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp himalayan sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 3  cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons organic tahini
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  1. Add chickpeas, spices, lemon, and garlic into blender. Blend until smooth
  2. Add in olive oil and Root Down. Continue blending for 15 seconds
  3. Take a taste and adjust seasonings as needed. If it’s too thick, add a bit more Root Down or water.
  4. Refrigerate. Enjoy on crackers, toast, salads & more!
